Perranporth Beach, Cornwall UK
48″ x 30″ Oil on Canvas.
This large painting is a view point from Chapel Rock in the middle of the beach, looking South. The big rock in the foreground is from the same point, except it is from looking north.
I wanted to capture a number of dramatic elements that make up this beautiful, ever changing coastline.
The original painting is now SOLD, but I am selling beautiful limited edition Giclée prints – only 150 prints made. Please contact me for details to buy a signed, numbered copy.
Siena, Casole d'Elsa, Tuscany, Italy
After a beautiful holiday in the central Tuscan region of Italy, I returned home and painted two high perspective paintings. Both using Acrylics on 14″ x 10″ art board.
I loved how the ancient naturally sits alongside the modern. The first picture is of a little side street off of the city’s busy high street. It would be very easy to walk past these little streets and alleyways and miss these hidden gems.
The second, is an ancient viewing point in the beautiful town of Casole d’Elsa.
Both Painting are for sale as a pair
'The Divine Embrace'
30″ x 48″ Oils on Canvas.
‘The Divine embrace’ captures the relevancy of Jesus on the cross throughout all of history. The graffitied vertical beam represents the self-centred ways of humanity, whilst the horizontal beam which he carried, represents the beautiful ways of the kingdom of heaven. In his surrender to the ancient authorities wrath, he allowed himself to be bound at the collision point of these two worlds. From this position, he offers his embrace to ALL flesh.
I have included my own initials on the vertical beam as I too live in the tension of surrendering to the kingdom of heaven, yet carry desires of the opposite.
This large Canvas is available for sale, as are beautiful prints with ‘The Divine Embrace’ title underneath. Please contact me for more details.’
Restored House
26″ x 18″ Acrylic on art board.
This was a commission to paint a house in London that has been carefully restored by its owner. I was keen to keep it as realistic as possible including the car, with the exception of the neighbouring house which was kept in black and white.
